Tourism is currently one of the main drivers of the Dominican Republic’s economy. According to the study “Dominican Tourism: A Sea of Opportunities” conducted by ANALYTICA and sponsored by Banco Popular Dominicano and the Dominican Republic Hotel and Tourism Association (ASONAHORES), tourism-related economic activity currently represents between 8% and 9.9% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Additionally, the study highlights that the tourism sector generates 26% of foreign exchange earnings in the balance of payments and directly employs 1 in every 13 workers in the country.

In this context, it is and will continue to be of great interest for SILVER to collaborate and work closely with local and international developers and investors who continuously drive the growth of tourism in the Dominican Republic. For this reason, from January 17 to 21, we will be participating in FITUR 2018, one of the world’s most important tourism fairs, held annually at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid in Spain.
