FREDDY ERNESTO PEÑA
Graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
Freddy began his professional career in Civil Engineering in the year 2000 as a field engineer in the construction of the Acropolis Center and Citibank Tower Project (Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep.), followed by a professional progression of four years at Ingeniería Estrella S.A., a renowned local construction company. At Ingeniería Estrella, Freddy started as an Estimator and was successively promoted to Project Supervisor, Project Manager, and Division Manager.
During his MBA program, Freddy worked as an intern for Merrill Lynch’s Rochester Private Client Group. In 2005, he took on a role in the areas of Real Estate Development and Finance through his participation as a partner of Grupo MAC, a local development and investment group. At Grupo MAC, he held the position of Director of Finance and Planning and successfully managed the financial structuring of several real estate projects. Freddy has also acted as financial advisor for important projects and companies in the Dominican Republic, including the negotiation of financing agreements with local and foreign financial institutions, negotiations for mergers and acquisitions, and the development of feasibility studies, business plans and company valuations. Most recently, Freddy took a financial advisor role in the Ministry of Public Works of the Dominican Republic.
His professional strengths include the proven ability to financially evaluate, structure and manage projects and enterprise across industries.
